In security knowledge is critical, and sharing information about criminal activity helps everyone guard against potential threats. The Prowl Alert app pools and distributes this communal knowledge by allowing users to both log and view real-time reports of criminal incidents within their geographic area. The app features both a map view and list/log view of the incidents. The free version of the Prowl Alert app provides abbreviated (or summary) incident details. Expanded (or full) incident details are available in the premium version. NOTE: The Prowl Alert app does not alert law enforcement or emergency services. It is strictly a user-managed incident logging and tracking tool. All crimes or emergencies should be reported to the proper authorities in your area. Common features: Ability to report incidents. Ability to view incidents logged by other users. Display all logged incidents within a specified geotargeted area of your location (based on your device). Set radius from 1 mile to 25 miles. Tapping on an incident report in the list view highlights the corresponding pin on the map. Tapping on a map pin will display the corresponding incident in the list view. Customizable view (either split view with both map and list, map only, or list only). Free features: Ability to report incidents. Ability to view incidents logged by other users. Abbreviated incident details. Customizable view (either split view with both map and list, map only, or list only). Set geotargeted reporting area. Premium features: All the same great features as the free version. Ability to view full incident details. Receive push notifications in real time regarding new incident reports. Notifications can be turned off or configured with automatic presets to activate on select days and times.
